• School places for September 2024

  We will have a number of spaces in all 3 classes in September, so if you need a space for your child/children please get in touch. Based on current numbers class sizes will be:

  Reception/Y1/Y2 - 20 pupils

  Y3/4 - 27 pupils

  Y5/6 - 19 pupils

• Sporting Success

  Congratulations to our Y4/5 orienteering team who won the Salisbury heat of the County Orienteering Competition in Dinton Park by a convincing margin.

   

  They have now qualified for the county finals in July where they will represent south Wiltshire.

  If you have a child that's due to start school in September 2024, you don't have long to get your application in.
  
  Applications for school admissions for primary schools and infant to junior transfers close on Monday 15 January 2024.
  
  The National Offer Day for school places for applications received before the deadline is Tuesday 16 April 2024 for primary and junior places

  Many thanks to everyone who supported and helped at our Christmas Fayre. We raised £1,403.45.

  An extra big thank you to Hannah and Rachelle for their massive contribution towards making the afternoon a success.

• Award of Healthy Schools status

  We are pleased to share that Dinton has received the bronze award for Healthy Schools from Wiltshire Council. We are already working towards the standards for the silver accreditation.

   

  Below are some of the comments that members of the judging panel made about our application:

  • The school parliament seem to be actively involved in discussing health related issues.
  • The travel plan seems to have been effective, with improvements to safety.
  • Good to hear about the lunchtime play leader
  • A very clear and comprehensive application

• School admissions window now open

  Wiltshire residents can now apply for primary and secondary school places for September 2024 entry, for children starting school for the first time or for children who are moving from a primary to secondary school or from an infant to junior school.   Applications can now be submitted online at www.wiltshire.gov.uk until the national deadline dates of 31 October 2023 for secondary schools and 15 January 2024 for primary schools and infant to junior transfer.   The National Offer Day for school places for applications received before the published deadlines are 1 March 2024 for secondary and 16 April 2024 for primary and junior places. Online applicants will receive the outcome of their application on National Offer Day.
