Easter Pilgrimage 2026

The whole school went for a pilgrimage walk to St Mary's. However, it was a walk with a difference as when we got to St Mary's we found a very long string. The string guided us on a 1 mile pilgrimage walk around Dinton Park and back to meet Rev Elaine at St Mary's for our Easter worship.

Along the string we had 7 reflective points. They highlighted, in chronological order, the events of the Easter Story from Palm Sunday to the resurrection. At each reflection point, children and adults gathered with older children reading the messages to the younger children. Between points children, discussed a spiritual question.

It was a beautiful spring day, the sun shone and everyone enjoyed our pilgrimage. On our way back, the children discovered, signs of new life in the form of eggs had been left for them to discover and to gie them energy for the route back to school.
