Eco schools award

I am delighted to announce that the school has been awarded the Eco Schools - green flag (with distinction) award. This award recognises everyone's achievements in improving biodiversity by improving the school grounds, being great global citizens and improving children's understanding of a range of environmental issues.

Assessors commented that:

Your school’s greatest success this year has really come from the way pupils have responded to the changes made across the school grounds and the role they’ve taken on as Global Citizens. It’s been brilliant to see how pupils have noticed the increase in biodiversity and understood that their actions helped make it happen. Their curiosity, the thoughtful questions they’ve asked and the ownership they’ve shown over the improvements have been a real highlight. This growing confidence and engagement has had such a positive impact on the whole school, creating a community that feels proud, informed and excited about caring for the environment. Well done!
